Not always. Astro is a great fit for business websites, landing pages, blogs, service directories and light online shops. If you need a heavy user dashboard, a forum, a listings system or an unusual web app, we look at the scope first and only then choose the technology.

A one-page site takes 1–2 weeks, a business website 2–4 weeks, and a shop or larger site 6–10 weeks. The clock starts once you have supplied the content and images. Package scopes and prices are in our pricing.

Yes. Once the project is settled we hand over the finished site and access to the repository or files. You can keep it with us or develop it with another agency — we never lock anyone into our ecosystem. You can read more about how we work on the about page.

We can move a site from WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Webflow, Wix, hosting site-builders, bespoke CMSs and older HTML/PHP sites. First we look at the structure of your current site — the number of pages, the content, forms, blog, media and anything that needs a bespoke approach. You can see examples of these migrations in our work.

You should not, provided the migration is planned properly. We take care of the URL structure, 301 redirects, meta data, headings, content, the sitemap and internal linking. That applies not only to WordPress but to other content management systems, site builders and older bespoke setups too.

No. A migration is often a good moment to simplify the structure, improve the content, speed up loading and remove the bits that have been getting in the way for years. We can recreate your current look, but more often a light redesign and a proper tidy-up is the better option.

Not in the traditional sense. You edit content in Markdown files through GitHub, a headless CMS panel (Decap, Tina) or directly in the files. We show you how — it takes about 10 minutes to pick up.

Not necessarily. For simple changes we can set up a light CMS panel or offer a maintenance package. If you would rather edit the content yourself, we show you the simplest way to work — usually a short walkthrough is all it takes.

Yes. A blog runs in Astro as a collection of posts — that is exactly how our blog works. Articles can be added through Markdown files or a simple CMS panel such as Decap or Tina. For a non-technical person it looks different from WordPress, but after a quick introduction it is easy to manage.

Yes. Astro is very well suited to SEO because it produces fast, light pages with clean HTML. As part of the build we set up the SEO essentials: titles, descriptions, headings, URL structure, schema.org data, a sitemap and proper internal linking.

Static Astro sites usually load in under a second and score well in Lighthouse and PageSpeed Insights. With no heavy plugins, no database calls in the loop and no excess JavaScript, the site stays fast on both desktop and mobile. We cover how site speed affects your Google rankings on the blog.

No. A static site runs on light hosting (from around £5/month) or on the free plans from Cloudflare Pages, Netlify or Vercel.

No. The website and the email are two separate things. We can move just the site and leave your email exactly where it works now. If needed, we also help tidy up the DNS, the domain and the mail records.

Yes. A form can be handled through an external endpoint, a simple backend of our own or a form service. That keeps the site light and secure, while messages still land in your inbox as normal.

Yes. We can connect GA4, Google Tag Manager, Plausible, the Meta Pixel or other analytics and advertising tools. We set them up so they slow the site down as little as possible.

Yes, though it depends on the size of the shop. For a smaller catalogue we can build a fast shop or product listing on Astro with an external payment system (such as Stripe or Snipcart). If the shop has hundreds of products, complex stock levels, ERP integrations and advanced promotions, we then look at whether a different model would suit you better.

Astro has no plugins to update. We update the framework itself once every 6–12 months. There are none of the risky "plugin security updates" you get with WordPress.

Static HTML means no database, no admin panel and no PHP running in the loop (apart from the form endpoint). The typical attacks on WordPress or Drupal simply do not apply to us.
